#9. Discuss Reagle's Chapter3-4

From Reagle’s chapters 3-4, there are two impressions points. One impression thing is that trolls are the driving force of Wikipedia. The other impression point is that ignore all rules. These two thing really helps Wikipedia grow as much as now.

First of all, trolls often spur the best editors into creating a brilliant article with watertight references. I think this is really true. I have a plan to change some Korean history article since I found some wrong information in Wikipedia. I can say invisible hand works.

In addition, ignore all rules can make everything possible. Sometimes rules make people impossible or do nothing because of rules. Without rules, people can edit everything freely. It can help people do better and better.

Discuss) I think Trolls can work like invisible hand. How do you think about?

  1. I also think the troll can work like an invisible hand. It's a good phenomenon that the quality of editing is elevated by trolls, but it will backfire if the trolls are reckless and overactive. I think we should establish and sanction the troll because we do not measure its contribution.
