Week7,.Why Free Culture matters

  The culture of freedom is relative to the "closed culture". Therefore, the "free culture" is an open and inclusive culture and a culture of advancing with the times. It is a culture that challenges the concept of liberalism and opposes "free hegemony". Such a culture can be explained from the two levels of “free” culture and “free man” culture.
  Freedom is a state of life for people, a way of life. As a state of life, freedom refers to the leisure life of the subject who does everything in his power, enjoys it, thinks about it, enjoys it, and is free from the control of others and the shackles of foreign objects. As a way of living, freedom means that the subject consciously emancipates the concept, rejects the thoughts and keeps the old, adapts to the requirements of the development of the times, perfects the self in a reasonable way, and changes the world with a scientific attitude.
Throughout the ages, mankind has made tools for production, explored the laws of science, and has become a social practice, constantly breaking through the limitations of nature, society, and history, pursuing one or the other freedoms, enjoying the freedom of freedom and enjoying different degrees of freedom. . These pursuits, explorations and enjoyment of freedom form a culture of freedom. Culture is a culture that allows people to move toward freedom and to achieve greater freedom.
  True freedom should be limited freedom, freedom is human freedom, and thus the limit of freedom lies in the limitations of the subject. The limitations of man are both the boundary of human existence and the boundary of human happiness. Although freedom does not necessarily bring happiness, happiness must require free space and time, free labor and sharing, free thinking and expression. The existence of freedom must also be a moral existence, and the cultural implication of freedom undoubtedly includes moral existence including moral consciousness, moral concept and moral practice.
  Therefore, freedom is a relaxed living state and a suitable way of living that people pursue. Free and comfortable freedom is true freedom. "Real freedom" not only implies the existence of morality and freedom, but also clarifies the limits of human beings and the boundaries of happiness. This freedom can lead people to spiritual pleasure and moral perfection, and better to create a true free culture. "Real free culture" creates a true "free man."
