#7 Why Free Culture matters?
After I write down what I think about free culture matters, I am going to update "free culture part" in Wikipedia.
Free culture is a growing understanding among artists and audiences that people shouldn't have to ask permission to copy, share, and use each other's work; it is also a set of practices that make this philosophy work in the real world. This definition of free culture is according to Question Copyright.org. We even annotate references on essay and any writings. That's because, we need to protect copyright for all of information and permissions.
If I am in free culture then I would have power to suppress or alter my works. Also I am free to put out a modified copy of your movie using different subtitle and song that I think is better, etc. Then original creative items might be damage from uncertain contents. Not only this problem, but also, their copyright or power can be transfer to other people. Then they don't want to make more creative items. They would modify other contents little. In other words, contents and copyright things will be descent.
Also, artists, translator and so on, who are earn money from copyright, can not survive from free culture. Then contents, which are music, art, movie, book, etc, will be low culture. Who wants to make good contents without money or who wants to be professional in copyright section without money.
As a result, free culture can bring a lot of problems. So we need to protect copyright for all of information and permissions. This action can effect good environment to contents and copyright sections.
