#7 Why Free Culture Matters?

Why is free culture important? I think free culture has induced people to move aggressively. Free culture makes people actively participate in the production of information. It may be because of this trend of free culture that collective intelligence has become important recently.

Without this free culture, we would have relied on information from the media. The distorted media coverage would also have had to be trusted. But now I can actively find information through the Internet. This helps to ensure the diversity of information. In addition, the ability to judge the right or wrong of information can be developed by self-assessed acquisition of information.

No information on the Internet can be completely trusted. So, people find information, modify it, and share it with people. This process is a characteristic of free culture.

But I sometimes worry about the problem of this free culture. Because there is a variety of information in a free culture, copyright issues cannot be ignored. Various information appears on the Internet. Movies that haven't been released yet also appear on the Internet and once posted on the Internet don't go away easily, so there's also a saying that it's a right to be forgotten. There is also a copyright problem. Due to the nature of a free culture, it is difficult to find the original. Also, even if you use information without permission, it's hard to catch him.
