#6 How important is it to be civil online on the Internet?

Unlike previous times, the world is now connected through the Internet. So we can communicate with other people through the Internet as much as we want. However, it is not easy to maintain public order on the Internet as it is easy to communicate. The laws that we abide by in the offline world don't really apply much to the Internet. On the Internet, anonymous people spread abusive language or false rumors, or illegally distribute data. However, thorough monitoring of these acts or the application of the law is less. The reason why civic awareness on the Internet is important is to maintain this public order. The right citizenship on the Internet ensures the accuracy and reliability of information.

What I would like to discuss with you is whether government intervention is necessary to correctly induce this sense of citizenship on the Internet. For example, the government is introducing a real-name system to prevent anonymous people from doing anything inappropriate on the Internet. What do you think about this?

  1. I am against the real-name system on the Internet. The Internet is a place where I can freely express my opinions regardless of race or religion. As much as people have free discussions, so do conflicts of opinion. If the real-name system is used on the Internet, when opinions conflict occurs, there can be situations in which conflicts. But I think government regulation is necessary for things like Revenge porn.
