Wikipedia-Why Wikipedia is less popular in Korea?
Wikipedia is launched in U.S. So it's based on English-using culture. There are Korean translated version for Koreans, but it is less popular than Naver or Daum. I think it is because Naver or Daum is launched in Korea and it is based on Korean culture. So Koreans are more comfortable to adopt. They have comprehensive systems. Blog posting, asking questions, making or joining community called 'cafe', and e-mail service are included in one platform. They are not professional and accurate like Wikipedia, because they don't require references and don't warn users of wrong information. But being comfortable methods of using makes them more popular than Wikipedia.
